A Weight Loss Journey

Take Dat, Take Dat, Take Dat

Went to the gym again this morning (after I missed yesterday due to oversleeping). I almost didn't make it cuz I spent 15 minutes looking for my key to the gym. I found it, so instead of my 45 min workout, I only got in a half hour. I'm going again tomorrow morning though, bright and early. :D

I can't wait for my stomach to get smaller. The pregnant look ain't really one to go for when you aren't expecting. Not sexy at all.

My new buddy is working out great! We had a talk this morning. She is so excited. I'm excited for her too. This is going to be fun. I told her about the singing fat cells the other day. She laughed so hard she started crying. I think that's what convinced her. *lol*

  • As far as work out is concerned, i'm focused on cardio and only cardio. Why might you ask? Because I am 300+ pounds. I want to loose a nice amount of weight before I start working on getting more tone (muscles). Muscle is also heavier than fat, so I don't want to build up right now. Carrying too much weight.

I joined weight watchers. I didn't really make it public, only a couple of folks knew... but I figured I'd tell ya'll. I can eat whatever I want to have, i just have to weight the costs and monitor intake in a specific way. I choose to eat more fruits and veggies tho, cuz I they are healthier and i can have more of them than I can bread... which is my fav-o-rite thing to eat. So, I cut out the bread in most of my meals. There are times when I really want bread, so I have it. I just don't go crazy... and I stay within my limits of food intake for the day.

The whole point of what I am doing is to create healthy eating habits that I can live with for a lifetime. I'm not dieting anymore, because it doesn't work. I know I can't live without bread for the rest my life. So I have to be realistic. I love what I learn at weight watchers. I feel more free when dealing with food than I did before. My co-worker joined yesterday. So we are gonna coach each other through it.

  • LOL! I had to laugh... sorry... but I have heard people say they do that. I don't know if that works tho.

  • Weightwatchers is the only proven successful long-term solution exactly because of what they preach.....change of lifestyle. I haven't joined them myself but I've put that concept into practice on my own. GREAT CHOICE :)
